The Liebster Award Nomination!

Hello Everyone! I am feeling so grateful today! Recently I was nominated for the Leibster Award by Samantha, who runs her self titled blog. Thank you so much! <3

What is a Liebster Award?

Liebster means something along the lines of beautiful in German. This award is by bloggers, for bloggers. Basically bloggers nominate other bloggers that they think are doing something beautiful. They then respond to a bunch of questions about themselves and nominate a few more bloggers. It’s basically a chain that’s passed through the blogging community. Basically, it’s intended to give recognition to bloggers that deserve it. How sweet is that! Let’s do this! What a loving community the blogging world is.

The Questions

Why did you start your blog?

I started my blog so that I could have a space to share the things I love doing. Initially I shared a lot more of my poetry and creative writing as well as travel photos. Then I started sharing recipes that I’d tried and approved of, which then changed into a mission to share simple and easy recipes. Now it’s all those things and more!

What is your favourite indoor/outdoor activity?

My favourite outdoor activity is going for walks with my lovely hubby. My favourite indoor activity…I have lots! Reading good book under a cozy blanket, playing games with my hubby, or doing yoga. Haha I can’t choose just one thing!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time/ holidays?

Everything from the above question as well as going on little trips with my husband and family to the Rocky Mountains, especially in the winter!

What is your favourite social media and where are you most active?

Twitter and Instagram. I’m probably more active on Twitter though, because you don’t have to have a beautiful picture to share, just your beautiful thoughts 🙂

Where did the name of your blog come from?

Honestly I don’t remember what happened when I first came up with it! I know that I wanted to choose a name that really suited me and tied in to a lot of stuff that I love. I love coziness, so Blankets & Tea somehow came out of that!

Favourite movie quote?

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.”
– J. R. R. Tolkien

What TV show are you currently watching or did you watch last?

Naruto! (it’s my first time watching any kind of anime and I’m so so in love!)

What is your most worn clothing item?

Tights/leggings. It’s a rare occasion when I wear anything other than tights 😛

What was the last thing you personally cooked?

I cooked tuna casserole a few nights ago!

What do you want the most?

A happy, spiritually fulfilling life surrounded by family

Moe (my beloved hubby) from Moe Wanders
“I hope that, with this blog, I can encourage others to live meaningful lives. I hope that my writings and my photography inspire others to dream more and do more, even if only a bit.”

Amy from Mastering Flanery
“This blog is a way to capture my journey of experience, and to share my thoughts and ideas with the unknown void, to send a part of me out into the universe – it’s not about being read, but about being written.”

Jade from All Things Jade
I just want to get out there and explore this wonderful world.”

Kate from By The Way Kate
If you will let me, I will fill your ears with ramblings, countryside escapades and general daydreams, joy and jollity.”

Derek from Dad With A Pan
I challenge you to get in the kitchen!

So, if I’ve nominated you, all you have to do is share a post on your blog answering these questions, and nominate a few bloggers that you appreciate. Make sure you comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been nominated!

Happy Blogging Friends! 🙂

  1. Congratulations! I love long walks with Hubby too — especially in the quiet woods. We don’t get to do it often since we live in Chicago but whenever we do it feels so soothing and healing.

Thank you 🙂 Long walks really are the best. Chicago seems like a wonderful place to live, it’s a place I would love to visit one day. Actually, it’s on my list of “Cities to Visit When I Road Trip Through the US.”
